Reporting to Parents

Parent / Teacher Meetings

At the commencement of each school year, parents are invited to attend an information evening with their child’s teachers to outline curriculum and learning expectations for each grade.

In 2016, Meet the Teacher evening will be held on Tuesday February 9th. Parents are invited to attend either a 6:00-6:30pm session, or 6:30-7:00pm session, held in their child's classroom.

Formal Reporting

Parents will receive school reports on their child’s progress in June & December of each school year. These reports will give information regarding your child’s progress in relation to his / her grade expectations. Parent teacher meetings are offered after the distribution of these reports.

Formal reporting to parents currently happens twice a year.

Mid-year:

  • Formal written report
  • Compulsory Parent/teacher interviews

End-of-year:

  • Formal written report
  • Optional Parent/teacher interviews

Years 3 and 5 participate in National Literacy and Numeracy testing.  Parent information regarding the test and results is sent home during the year.
