Our programs help children build confidence and make new friends before the big school year begins.
Vacation Care at Ambrose is for children in school years K-6, and children from all faiths and schools are welcome to our services.
Our program is based on the "My Time Our Place" framework - which is focusses on children's interests and ensures we provide a program they love.
Activities include, excursions (where we go out into the community), workshops (where a special activity comes to us), games, sport, craft and much more.

π Kindergarten Transition Fun! π This week our little soon-to-be Kindies had a blast exploring all the different activity pods! π¨ In the kitchen play pod, there were lots of mini chefs whipping up some βtasty treatsβ π², while over at fine motor with playdough, they were sculpting masterpieces π. We also sequenced Humpty Dumpty π₯, ordered numbers π, and got creative with some colorful painting π¨. Every step is getting us ready for the big Kinder adventure! π Canβt wait for 2025! ππ

Today the community of Holy Family paused to commemorate Remembrance Day through a liturgy of the word. The students prayed reverently to commemorate, celebrate and pray for our fallen soldiers and all who serve to protect our country and our freedom, past and present. π¦πΊ We will remember them!

Kindergarten has started a new unit this week in Maths as we explore two-dimensional shapes. To check what we already know, we went on a shape hunt around our classroom and the Sensory Garden looking for any two-dimensional shapes. πππ©π΅πΊ Kindergarten were very clever and able to describe the different features of the shapes they found to prove their thinking. Throughout the week we are going to be looking for more shapes around the school and begin to sort and make two dimensional shapes. Keep an eye out for these Shape Detectives around the school! π΅π»ββοΈπ΅π»

ππ Year 6 Mini Fete is THIS Tuesday! ππ Get ready for an action-packed day of fun! Weβll have a spooky haunted house π», a chance to soak your friends at the sponge throw π―, crack codes in the escape room π, a basketball shootout π, and even a hair spray station for a wild new look π¨πββοΈ! And of course, food stalls ππ and a lolly jar guessing game π are all part of the fun. Students, get excited for a day you wonβt forget! Itβs going to be a blast! πΊπ

Our second garden stall was a big hit! π₯³π± We sold fresh beetroot, lettuce, and parsley π₯¬π. Our amazing gardening team has worked super hard this term, and it shows! π Weβre excited to give back to the community while also celebrating the Season of Creation, as declared by the Pope ππ. Itβs all about taking care of the earth and sharing what we grow with others! ππ§π
